Full Fund Review Services
Operational Due Diligence has now found itself at the heart of any modern fund, not least for control and risk functions.
As Investors are demanding superlative and unequivocal excellence when considering allocations to a new fund, marketing teams can no longer rely on relationship and reputation to attract new monies. With this raising of the bar, they must demonstrate an intimate understanding of their strategy as well as offer clear and efficient evidence that strong operational protocols are deeply etched on the organisation. Investors must be free to make investments based solely on strategy, not operational risk.
Our experience in building, advising and owning funds gives us a unique insight in to latest best practise, and our years of experience and reputation lend credibility and weight to the Operational Due Diligence process. When investors are simply unable to review the many funds that they may be considering, or when a 3rd party review is required, IGS can add a clear, qualified and most importantly, independent review.
Our comprehensive auditing process is designed to test every link in an operational chain. Whilst most funds will pass the audit, there is normally a requirement for elements of remedial work to take place during the process and as such, audits can take from one to three months. IGS will work with the Fund’s Due Diligence head to ensure a deep understanding of the fundamentals whilst testing assumptions on site.
IGS’s Due Diligence services cover all aspects of measuring, monitoring, reporting, management and control over operations, investments and risk.The process is split in to the following categories;
- Legal/Documentation

- Risk Management
- Service Providers
- Operations
- Personnel
- Compliance
- Business Continuity
- Strategy – Drift, Performance, Quants
- Office Separation
- Reality versus protocol
- Corporate
One, many or all of the categories can be reviewed as part of the process depending on client requirements.
Our Due Diligence reports can me made available to the general investing public, and are valid for one year after publishing at which time Funds can choose to continue to use the report for reference only, or follow a simple and quick renewal process to revalidate the report.
